    Accumulator is a part of vapour compression refrigeration system or mechanical compression refrigeration system. It is a shell which holds back the liquid refrigerant which could not be Vapourised in the Evaporator is called.

   It Construction, of the suction line accumulator is like a cylindrical shell and suitable inlet and outlet are provided. the shell is made of stainless steel or steel.inlet pipe connect to Evaporator and outlet pipe connect to compressor. uneVapourised liquid refrigerant enter to the accumulator from the Evaporator to downward due to gravity.

How does a suction line accumulator work 

   The working principle, of the suction line accumulator to holds the UneVaporised liquid refrigerant inside of the accumulator( mini or less amount of liquid refrigerant not convert to vapour) from the cooling coil or evaporator. then Vaporized inside of the accumulator in getting absorb heat (by the help of compressor heat or natural air) to the convert vapour. Then to be supplying from the outlet of the accumulator to the compressor to compressed vapour refrigerant or gas. the accumulator prevents compressor damage because compressor to compressed only vapour refrigerant. The liquid refrigerant inter to the compressor to compressed liquid refrigerant or wet compression and assess load of the compressor motor then damage it. 

Installed of the suction line accumulator

   The installed or fitted of the suction line accumulator in the suction line after the evaporator. The Evaporator outlet pipe are connected to the accumulator inlet pipe and the accumulator outlet pipe are connected to the compressor inlet pipe of the vapour compression refrigeration system or mechanical compression refrigeration system.

   The application of the suction line accumulator is generally used in the commercial or industrial refrigerating machine, large refrigeration system, transferred refrigeration, central air conditioning plants, large air conditioning system or plants.
