 What is a liquid receiver  

     It is a part of vapour compression refrigeration system or mechanical compassion refrigeration system. Which is Receives the liquid refrigerant from the condenser then store it. The supplies from the liquid receiver it to filter or drier, refrigerant control device. 

Construction of the liquid receiver

    The construction of the liquid receiver is a Cylindrical shell made of cost steel or cost iron with suitable inlet and outlet. The outlet is controlled by the receiver valve or king valve. Sometimes the large liquid receiver is equipped with a safety valve and king valve at the inlet also. The position of the liquid receiver is vertical or horizontal. The king valve is to use in servicing or repairing propose of the system and stopping or allowing the flow of the liquid refrigerant to control by the help of safety valve or king valve. 

How does the liquid receiver work 

   The working principle of the, liquid receiver to received liquid refrigerant from the condenser at the higher pressure and normal or room temperature liquid refrigerant. Then flows through the liquid refrigerant to filter or drier, Expansion valve or refrigerant control device. liquid receiver to store the some of liquid refrigerant then to supply it to required. 

Fitted or installed of the liquid receiver

   The fitted or installed of the liquid receiver just after the condenser of the vertical or horizontal position. The condenser outlet pipe are connected to the liquid receiver inlet pipe and the liquid receiver outlet pipe are connected to the filter or drier inlet pipe of the refrigeration and air conditioning system. 

Application of the liquid Receiver 

   The use or application of the liquid receiver in commercial or industrial propose. For Example, open type refrigerating machine, large refrigeration system, central air conditioning plants and large air conditioning plants.
